940th Heritage Airpark

Aircraft 57-2599 Static Display

One of the 940th Air Refueling Wing’s aircraft (a KC-135R Stratotanker) has reached its end of life. The Air Force has tentatively agreed to use this airframe as a static display at its home unit here at Beale AFB, California. The men and women of the 940th Maintenance Group and volunteers of the Tanker Heritage Foundation are planning to support this effort and it’s future preservation.

Stratotanker Description

The United States Air Force relies on the KC-135 Stratotanker as its primary aerial refueling asset, which has been performing this role with excellence for over 60 years. The KC-135 is equipped with patient support pallets, allowing it to transport both ambulatory and litter patients during aeromedical evacuations.

Airpark Mission Statement
